I’m currently in Ohio on a business trip and finally have some down time to update the blog. Wish this post had more structure to it but, truth is, it doesn’t – so deal. (; I guess I’ll just put you up to speed with what’s been going on lately.
The little man (Levi) slept over the house Friday night to Saturday and boy, did he love it. The kid slept for hours, woke up for a few minutes and then somehow landed in bed with the grandparents, Belo and Bela. He’s to die for!
We had family come in from Peru this weekend. Although it was a short visit, I’m glad the cousins were able to reunite.
In case you haven’t heard, yet… Potential Church Miami has a new home. We’ve moved to the Riviera Theatre in Coral Gables. May God’s hand be all over that venue, our church and our community.
This is pretty much my “Sunday Coma” look … after setup and teardown at church – what more could you possibly want from me?
Umm, I wish I could tell you this next photo means something. Fact is, I like hands (not mine, particularly but it’s what I had to work with at the moment), mustaches and bright nail polish.
This Monday I woke up with swollen, itchy as all heck eyes, a rash on my neck and a stuffy nose. My face pretty much represented that of a blowfish - epic, really. Knowing I had a business trip coming up, I skipped on over to the Asthma and Allergy center to figure what the heck was going on with me. Nothing was determined since testing couldn’t be done due to taking a antihistamine. Good news is, they put me on some serious steroids, allergy meds and nasal spray to reduce the insnae congestion. After a few days of overdosing on meds I’m happy to say the swelling has decreased and the rash has disappeared. The terrible dryness and itchiness around my eyes has subsided but still remains. Argh.
All of that to say, I was given permission from the doctor to work from home and not go into the office in order to keep an eye on the swelling. I obeyed and spent the most beautiful time working from home – outdoors in my backyard, with my dogs and delicious tea.
One of the highlights of traveling is eating at nifty places and trying new foods (although I’m the pickiest person, ever). I had the most delicious nut cluster on my way to Ohio … Really, it was unbelievably tasty. I should have stashed up on those suckers!
This is me today… in chilly Ohio. I think I’m kinda starting to get used to this traveling thing and cold weather. Weird.
xo.
